Oqood is the official registration of an off-plan sale contract with the DLD, establishing the buyer's right to the property before the final title deed is issued at handover.

"Oqood" means "contracts" in Arabic. In practice it is the initial registration certificate of the off-plan sale: it records the buyer in the DLD registry and conditions the validity of any resale before handover. At handover, the Oqood is converted into the final title deed.
